Benghazi Waterfront Development aspires to add a vibrant, rich and modern piece to the city of Benghazi. The site enjoys a long and easy access from the highway and a direct link to the sea. A Club headquarters and a stadium anchor the northern part of the site. The southern end is anchored by a cluster of recreational and leisure activities facing the sea. A wide range of urban activities span the gap between these two poles and offer a continuous fluid public realm.

The project has its genesis in site specific physical elements and forces. Two large water bodies and a green football field become the nuclei of three very distinctive, yet complementary pieces of the city.

An ambitious plans of the club constitute the keystone of this development. Another character area is generated by a large water body located at the southern end of the site. By linking this water body to the sea, it becomes the anchor of a touristic area that hosts several hotels, seafront markets, clubs, as well as an aquatic park. The central character area is located between The Park and The Beach zones. It is also anchored by an existing large water body that is transformed.
