Smeirat house is the direct product of the site shape and topography; the setbacks create the Y shaped plan with an unusual semi-circular open court. The abrupt slope towards the deep end of the site is transformed into a generous stairs that links the court to the roof and thus creating a series of rich open spaces, courts, and roof gardens that characterizes this house. This configuration, COURT + STAIRS + ROOF GARDEN, extends the living space and offers a platform that can host a multitude of activities.
